Screenplay Time
As I have stated in the title, I am not gonna be making a short film. As much as I wish I could, I simply don't think I'd be capable of producing a short film amongst the cluster of projects and schoolwork. I also enjoyed writing a screenplay earlier this year.
My Aim / Goal:
For my screenplay, I want to create an engaging script. Potentially something comical perhaps? However, I'm also interested in creating something serious, or something in between?
Possible styles: Horror / Comedy / Social Realism /
- If I make a comedy style movie it could prove problematic as humour is subject to taste and mine might not match some people.
- A horror or thriller would be pretty cool, I've written spooky stories in the past so I might enjoy this one quite a bit. I could also link this to social realism potentially although I don't want the plot to be majorly depressing as I want to enjoy writing it.

The genres chosen here have very specific conventions which I think is helpful when writing your own. Make sure you look at some horror film shorts to give you some ideas - there are a number of festivals specialising in horror.
